Wild Cats of the World Cards
(sorry for the double-post to those who have my regular LJ on their friends list. I was so tired i accidently posted this on my LJ instead of here!)
All the artist's copies* and preorders have been mailed out at this point (whew!). If there's any problem (such as defective decks or missing credit inserts) let me know. Of all the decks I've looked at the only problem was one had one extra card (but no missing cards.) But I've mailed a lot of stuff, so it's quite possible I overlooked something or someone.
I will be out of town starting the 19th, but will be able to get orders in the mail up until then.
* except the artists who said they're picking up at FC, and one person who needs to get me postage.
I meant to respond to the last entry. But I can just pickup at FC as I shouuuld be there :). I'm sure the deck looks amazing, thank you for all the hard work put in on your part! I hope the presales did exceedingly well!
I got mine yesterday! Thank you for the quick delivery. I was shocked it got here so fast with my crappy postal system up here :O

I had recommended a sample check of 20 decks, or a 2% sample of the lot. If NO ERRORS were detected in that sample, then it would be reasonable to presume that the lot is essentially good.
But with one deck having an extra card - as insignificant as that sounds - it indicates a potential non-compliance rate of 5%.
I hate to say it - but another sample check, again of 20 decks chosen at random, would be in order. Since you have sent out the artists' decks and the pre-orders, 20 decks from the remainder would give a much higher sample rate than 2%, but if THAT checks out error-free, then all you found before was a fluke.
At any rate - I would advise the artists, when they are inserting their art credit sheets, to take the time and inspect each deck on their own; I know it is a lot of trouble, but the last thing you want is a customer who paid $25 for a very nice deck of cards, and have 2 of one card, and missing another.
And save that extra card! It came out of a sheet, it is quite likely that SOMEBODY's deck is missing that card.
Roz, you have done everything right, up through this point; the quality issue should be handled by the manufacturer, at their expense. Did the printer make any statement in their agreement with you, as to what their quality compliance policy is, or any assurance for 100% error-free product?
I got my decks in the mail, thanks a bunch! I was wondering though if you could mail the artwork back to me? I know I mentioned just picking it up from you at FC, but I decided to get it double-matted for the art show, so I would need it back for the measurements. Please let me know, and thanks again!
Got mine, and WOW that was quick!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Got mine today; the inserts were included. I'll check them for completeness once I'm done with this cold! o.O;
Is it still possible to order card decks for mailing out?
